Listicles Are Coming

So, how’s it going? Good? Good. Me too.

Longtime readers may have noticed that I avoid the more concrete aspects of book review. There are no stars. No rankings. No metrics. The enjoyment of a book is one of the most subjective things in the world. Therefore, it is always my goal to review with the ideal reader in mind and speak to its strengths. I trust that my audience is savvy enough to know when a book sounds right for them.

That said, I have a significant life change coming down the pipe. Don’t worry, everything is fine. More than fine. Anyway, it’s time for me to give myself the space to not push for new content each week for a little while. I’ve been doing this blog thing for … (furious number crunching)… about 3 1/2 years now. That’s a lot of reviews. So, during this pseudo-sabatical, please enjoy, for the first time in Murray’s Bookshelf history…
